  • The Bungonia State Recreation Park has a network of tracks and lookouts, which offer spectacular river and canyon views, and is one of Australia’s prime caving spots. It is located only 15kms from Tallawong.
  • After a hard days fun you can enjoy a evening at the Loaded Dog Hotel at Tarago. It's just 15mins down the road with live bands and a great restuarant.
  • Bungendore and Braidwood are a short country drive away. Sample some of the great restaurants, cafes, galleries and antique shops while you are there.
  • We are in close proximity to some of the fastest growing wine regions. Enjoy a glass of cool climate wines in one of the many wineries in the area. Athenabacchus Vineyard offers tastings at Tallawong Boutiqe Cabins, as well as Lerida Estate Wines
  • Lark Hill Winery is also a popular choice - being a consistent winner of Australian and international awards for fine wines.
  • Lake Bathurst is an attractive little tree-lined village about 20mins drive away that really comes to life on the weekends and public holidays. Devonshire Teas and excellent coffee and cakes are served.
